During periods of trauma or illness, there may be a need to arrange for necessary skilled nursing care. The Gramercy Court Skilled Nursing Facility houses 120 licensed beds in 3 separate buildings with trained staff to monitor resident needs. Along with the high technological environment, the staff is trained and highly motivated to care for the more intensive-need resident. This alone is usually not the case for nursing homes, as they usually focus on custodial care.

Continuous nursing care is provided with licensed nurses (Registered and Licensed Vocational Nurses) available on a 24-hour basis to provide skilled nursing care to residents. Nursing services include but are not limited to identification of health problems and the development of a health plan based upon an initial and continuing assessment of the resident's needs by the nursing staff and other health care professionals.

We recognize the fact that the latter stages of life can include long term care and that rehabilitation care may be needed after a trauma. Gramercy Court provides health care on a short-term recuperation period as well as for long term care.
