Dr. Ernesto Quinto is the Medical Director at Gramercy Court. Upon his arrival 16 years ago, Dr. Quinto served as the Utilization Review Chairman for the Medicare Program. He also has many of his own patients residing here, and for many of us, the association goes way back.

"I was exposed to long term care and nursing homes as a small child," said Dr. Quinto. His mother
was a respected staff member at a skilled nursing facility and he remembers spending many afternoons volunteering after school. "It was then that I decided that I would become a physician," Dr. Quinto explained.

The Medical Director in the nursing facility plays an integral role within the nursing department. His responsibility is to ensure that all standards of care are up to date. He will step in to mentor nursing staff when requested. He also monitors the visiting physicians for continuous coverage and is on call for any and all issues that may surface.

Dr. Quinto has been in practice as an internist for more than sixteen years. His association with Gramercy Court also began sixteen years ago when the facility first opened its doors, so he is very familiar with our operational procedures. He has grown right along with the rest of us during the years.

Dr. Quinto brings to Gramercy Court a fresh direction and clinical leadership. He is a consultant, advisory member and also an admitting physician at Gramercy Court. And above all, he is a respected member
of the team.
